Manchester United put on a rousing performance in their 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford, led by goals from outstanding players Fred and Bruno Fernandes. Erik ten Hag's side was keen to quash the disappointment of their recent 0-0 draw at Newcastle United. Fernandes was the catalyst again as United fired a series of tries into the north London side's net. From now on, only a series of excellent saves from Lloris kept the 0-0 lead. Fred's precise pass put Marcus Rashford on target but his powerful shot lacked precision and allowed Lloris to save. The Frenchman then worked in extra time as he stopped a Fernandes free-kick and a Luke Shaw volley from hitting the net.
There were no signs of a slow build-up in, which was evident at times in our disappointing 0-0 draw with Newcastle as we pieced together some tricky passing moves around the Spurs box. Antony ended the half with a brilliant ability that blew up his next two markers before Harry Kane fired straight at De Gea, a timely reminder of Spurs' counterattack threat. PART TWO - HARD WORK PAYS OFF IN SALES All of United's efforts paid off within 76 seconds of the second half. Kane, led by Lisandro Martinez, began descending lower to influence the game. The England striker had few chances throughout the evening but put himself in a good position to force De Gea into a reactive save. The flag was raised. , but referee Simon Hooper signaled for play to go ahead as United assisted the pitch. It turned out to be a crucial moment. Finally, Bruno scored the goal his performance deserved with a great throw past Lloris. Fred's persistence led to the second and almost sparked a third, with Rashford again lamenting the brilliance of Lloris, who landed a powerful shot. Rashford and Bruno almost combined for a fantastic third place but the captain's celebration was stopped by the offside flag. after clinging to a pass that split the defense and surrounded Lloris with a chic mannequin.
